Traditional Service

Are you wondering what to expect at the traditional worship service?
Then you've come to the right place!

Our traditional service starts at 8:45am on Sunday morning.  At this service we draw on the rich liturgical tradition of the Lutheran Church, but you don't have to be a Lutheran to appreciate the beauty, depth, and richness of our worship life.  The service is
meaningful and alive with elements of both ancient traditions and contemporary practices.  Generally we change the musical setting with the changing of the church seasons.  We have learned a variety of liturgical settings (music which we sing weekly in our service), including an African American Gospel setting, a setting by contemporary composer Marty Haugen called "Now the Feast and Celebration", and several other settings found in our new worship hymnal "Evangelical Lutheran Worship".  We believe you will find the music we share each Sunday joyful and inspiring.

The Sanctuary Choir (adult choir), Faith Ringers (handbell choir), Youth Choir, and Children's Choir share their gifts on a regular basis at the Traditional Service.

Both of our services (traditional and contemporary) are warm and friendly to people of all ages.  Our members attend worship services based on how the Spirit moves them, not based on their age.  Both services have a special message just for children and nursery care is always available.

Please join us at 8:45am on a Sunday morning, you'll find a warm and caring congregation ready to accept you with open arms!
